Spicy Tropical Fruit Salad

 

 

Reclining Buddha, Wat Pho, Bangkok

   

Fresh pineapple chunks
Fresh papaya chunks
Asian pear chunks
Bosc pear chunks
Mango chunks
Guava chunks
Mint leaves

Mix together.  Pour dressing over and toss lightly. Serve immediately.


Dressing

3 garlic cloves, peeled
Pinch of salt
4 birds eye chilies
1 heaping T. roasted peanuts
 2 T. palm sugar
1 T. lime juice
1 T. tamarind water
1 T. fish sauce

Pound garlic, salt, chilies, and peanuts into a coarse paste in a mortar.  Stir in lime juice, palm sugar, tamarind water and fish sauce.  Toss with fruit.
